Some diners mention that the space, while cozy, can get quite crowded during peak hours, particularly on Fridays at dinner. This can lead to longer wait times for seating and orders.
A few customers noted that although the food portion sizes are generous, there are instances where they felt overwhelmed with choices and found it difficult to settle on what to order from the extensive menu.
While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, occasional comments point to a need for more variety in side dishes. A few diners expressed a desire for additional health-conscious options beyond the already existing offerings.

Chef Moussa is an absolute gem! The food is fresh, flavorful, and made with care. I had the gyro and chicken platter, which came with perfectly seasoned meat, fluffy rice, and creamy hummus. Everything was delicious and beautifully balanced! You can taste the authenticity and passion in every bite. What really sets this place apart, though, is the people. The staff treat you like family the moment you walk in. There’s a warmth and hospitality here that you just don’t find everywhere. Chef Moussa has created not just a restaurant, but a true community spot where great food and genuine kindness come together. Highly recommend!

Chef Moussa has managed to bring a piece of Lebanon to Peoria and we are so thankful he did! His attention to detail and quality ingredients is impeccable! We come every single time we pass through town! If you’re looking for authentic Lebanese / Mediterranean food, come here! The veggie assortment platter gives you a chance to try his amazing hummus and baba ghanoush but the chicken garlic sandwich is my all time favorite! Also- his bread is made fresh daily!!!

Came to town to visit family and had a wonderful time meeting up there. We had a hummus platter which had a very large amount of hummus and everyone loved. My parents had a gyro and chicken plate which they were very happy with and I had a Kafta Platter. The meat was very well seasoned and the rice was very fluffy. He makes the bread himself and 5 pieces came with my plate! He is very friendly and we enjoyed talking to him. I wish I lived closer to go back. It felt like eating at familys house rather than a restaurant.

Excellent food, very friendly hospitality, bright and clean venue. We had the chicken shawarma and a small pack of walnut baklava. The shawarma was tender and bursting with Middle Eastern flavors with a nice tone of garlic. The baklava was expertly baked and delicious and tender with sweet an cinammonny harmony. Really nice. Fast service. Inexpensive. A great travelers stop.

We walked in and chef Moussa was so kind and inviting!! The food is amazing! We got the chicken gyro platter with a side of hummus. It was DELICIOUS!! The platter is big enough to share between two people in my opinion. Chef moussa talked to us and realized it was our first time here and gave us free baklava! Amazing place and definitely coming back!!

Edit: June 2025: still a great place to stop for lunch. They have done a makeover! Very nice. The food is just as great as ever. Love the Zataar with cheese, grape leaves and hummus with pita! I'll keep coming back! 2019:The Greek salad with chicken on top was amazing! The pita bread and hummus is so yummy. The hummus has a nice flavor of lemon. It's SO Good! I can't quite pronounce what the last thing is but it is a traditional Lebonese dish with feta on top. It was also really really good. I will be coming back for sure!
